Accreditation
The Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering Program is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC).
Vision
The Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering Program strives to graduate aerospace engineers of the highest quality and conduct state-of-the-art research.
Mission
The Aerospace and Aeronautical Engineering Program at the University of Texas at El Paso seeks to prepare students for careers in aerospace engineering and related disciplines. Successful achievement of this objective will be met if:
- Most graduates obtain meaningful employment in aerospace or related industries after graduation.
- After five years, most graduates are working in engineering.
- After five years, most graduates have achieved their initial career goals and advanced their career, i.e., promotion, or pursuit of an advanced degree.
- All graduates feel well served by the education they received at UTEP.
Program Educational Objective
-
Our graduates become successful engineers in various aerospace industry sectors, including aircraft design and manufacturing, space exploration, defense, and research & development.
-
Our graduates foster a commitment to lifelong learning and professional growth and are equipped to adapt to the advancements and challenges in aerospace engineering throughout their careers.
-
