Graduate Certificate in 3D Engineering and Additive Manufacturing
The Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering is now offering a Graduate Certificate in 3D Engineering and Additive Manufacturing. This certificate program is meant to supplement the existing Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or any other suitable graduate level degree at UTEP or at another institution. It can also be a stand-alone certificate for a professional engineer wishing to expand his/her résumé. The program requires a 12-month completion period and is a 15 graduate credit hour program consisting of 3 lecture courses and 2 hands-on design studios. For more information, please contact GC3D@utep.edu.

Application Requirements
Students entering the certificate program in 3D Engineering and Additive Manufacturing must have at a minimum:
- A Bachelor Degree in mechanical, aerospace, electrical, civil, industrial, biomedical computer science, leadership and materials engineering, or related field in engineering or science. The degree must be from a regionally accredited institution in the United States or foreign institution providing a provably equivalent education.
- Either current enrollment in a graduate level engineering program with an official transcript, or a current résumé that demonstrates that the applicant has the sufficient profession preparation for the program.
- A single letter of recommendation from a supervisor or faculty member, preferably someone knowledgeable in the field of additive manufacturing.
Candidates are expected to have sufficient skills and background in mathematical and physical sciences, and engineering typical of an engineering undergraduate curriculum.
How to Apply
The UTEP Graduate School accepts applications year round, and the deadlines depend on the semester in which applicants wish to begin their coursework. The online asks for detailed information on the candidate's academic background. Before starting the application process, candidates should have the necessary documents to complete the application process. For more information, visit the .
