Patricia Cortes is an online Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). She earned her Master’s of Criminal Justice and Master’s of Public Administration, both from the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS), in 2021, Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in Legal Reasoning from the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP), in 2013, and an Associate of Arts in Criminal Justice from El Paso Community College (EPCC), in 2012. She is a former Asylum Officer from U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS). She also worked as a Probation Officer in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
