Jacqueline Salinas
Adjunct Instructor
Jacqueline Lizbeth Salinas is an online Adjunct Instructor in the Department of Criminal Justice at the University of Texas at El Paso (UTEP). Ms. Salinas earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice with a minor in Psychology (2021) and a Master of Science in Criminology and Criminal Justice (2023) from the University of Texas at El Paso. She currently works at the El Paso County Detention Facility as a Criminal Court Clerk for the Jail Magistrate where she assists judges, attorneys, and officers with pretrial court proceedings. Prior to this, she worked as a Work-Study at the University of Texas at El Paso’s Psychology Department in which she worked closely with faculty, staff, and students in the Psychology Department Main Office. Ms. Salinas’ research interests include the effects of victimization, the consequences of mass incarceration, and criminological theories used to understand crime.
